Bring 500 ml of water to a boil. Add rice and cook with lid on for about 14 minutes. In the meantime, steam cook the spinach in a pot for about 5 minutes on medium heat. Set aside.
Mince garlic. On medium heat, add olive oil and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes. Add spinach. Cook another 2 minutes. Add cooked rice, salt. Mix everything together, and continue cooking to taste for a few minutes longer.
